Ah yes, the Glam Rocker meets Harajuku Tourist look. We’ve all seen it– Just lying. I was so excited when I saw this guy – yes, I said guy – get on the skytrain, because it means more entertainment for you. That, and a fashion lesson from a manga book.

Just to clarify, there were multiple skull bracelets accessorizing the outfit that I couldn’t quite get a picture of. Also, the LV bag was real. I’m not sure what the shoes are, but they were laced with black ribbon. Fierce.

Sometimes, there are too many incredible-looking people to handle. And this is how I feel when that happens.

I believe this statue is something about Eros dying (I read the inscription in 3 seconds). Ironically, it’s in Yaletown (where I think Eros is very much alive and well).

I saw this guy out of the corner of my eye, and I looked over because his outfit was really well put together. When I looked over, though, I realized he was wearing his jacket rather strangely…
I’ve never seen anything quite like this before!   Who wears their jacket like a cape? Whatever floats your boat, I guess…

There are many things I could say right now – many, many things. But I think I’m just going to shut up and let your imaginations do the talking. Just lying – I’m going to comment on one thing:

Lululemon is a staple of Vancouver fashion – and this lovely lady shows us why. I mean, who wouldn’t get all dressed up to chew 20 pieces of hubba bubba and then use it as a purse?

Yeah, isn’t it all the rage to coordinate pleather booty shorts with pleather boots this season? … no? … oh well, I guess I’ll wear them together anyway.

I’m bummed that this one turned out so blurry, because the bag in the picture said

I think she just moved the world a bit closer to solving all its problems.

Vancouver is not a city known for wearing a lot of colour. I have read that Copenhagen, a city with a climate similar to that of Vancouver, compensates for the long damp winters with colourful buildings and clothes. This lady jolted the city out of its monochromatic stupor with everything pink. Thoughts? I think it’s pretty cool.

… Unless she did. I’m unsure why anyone would purposely coordinate the stripe on a nappy napsack with the stripe on their runners. Then again, I’m not sure why someone would wear this clothing in the first place, so I could be way off-base about the matching stripes not being on purpose.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I see an outfit and say to myself “wow.. those should not be worn together…ever”. Case in point: Converse sneakers and LuLuLemon yoga pants. I don’t know what it is … perhaps it’s the punk, grunge, street and very old-school prep connotations of converse grinding against the uptown, hippy, modern yoga pants. I’m just saying: incense and teen spirit à la Cobain are two smells that don’t mix. In my humble opinion. What say you?

A break from the usual program of what Vancouver’s wearing, I thought these shoes looked interesting enough to post.  Not something I’d wear, but they’re at H&M for those of you with bolder sartorial capacities.  I dunno who is going to wear these, but this being Vancouver, someone definitely will.  Especially if they go on sale.
